A glamping tent is designed for comfort, aesthetics, and a close connection to nature. Many ask if it's possible to cook inside the tent – and the short answer is yes, but it requires extra care and maintenance.
Cooking wears on the tent fabric
Cooking produces steam and smoke that often contains microscopic grease particles. These particles settle into the tent fabric and over time can promote mold and unpleasant odors. The tent fabric simply isn’t designed for this kind of environment.
So, indoor cooking typically means more frequent and thorough cleaning and maintenance.
If you choose to cook inside the tent
If you do decide to cook inside, we recommend:
-
Wiping down the tent fabric thoroughly afterward
-
Ensuring good ventilation
-
Avoiding heavy steam or greasy foods
-
Cleaning any residue quickly before it settles
Cooking outdoors is a great alternative – it keeps your tent in top condition and makes the experience even more enjoyable.
